Dr. Mohoric grew up near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During high school, he came to realize he wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. He received a Bachelor of Arts in 2003 from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. He then received his veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, graduating in 2007. He completed a general internship and an ophthalmology internship at Florida Veterinary Specialists (now BluePearl Veterinary Partners). This was followed by a 3-year residency in Ophthalmology with Eye Care for Animals in Chicago, IL. He received his board certification in 2012, becoming a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists. He continued working with Eye Care of Animals in the Washington, DC area, before returning to Tampa. Dr. Mohoric has been working in the Tampa area for 10 years. He enjoys teaching, and has previously trained residents. He enjoys all aspects of ophthalmology, especially microsurgery and laser treatment of ophthalmic disease. He also enjoys management of glaucoma, cataracts, and uveitis. In his spare time, Dr. Mohoric enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and is learning Muay Thai. He has a host of animals at home, including 3 dogs, a cat, 3 horses, and an African Spurred Tortoise.
